Iso Sketch: draw the isometric when nobody issued one. It sits on the Isometrics tab beside Takeoff, and the pair divide the work honestly - Takeoff reads a drawing somebody else issued, Sketch draws one when there is none. Runs, fittings, valves, flanges, olets and pipe supports, kept in real 3D so the take-off cannot drift from the picture, saved on the isometric's own record. It is also free and standalone at /iso-sketch/ with no signup. Two limits worth knowing before you trust it: it does not check the drawing against a piping spec, and cut lengths come off nominal B16.9 and B16.5 dimensions rather than a manufacturer's certified ones.
The register row is written on the first stroke, not on the click. Press Sketch New Iso and you get a live sheet; nothing is written until something is drawn, so a misclick leaves no empty line for somebody to find later and wonder about. The row is numbered SK-01 upward and seeded from the title block you filled in - line number, service, area, rev - so the register agrees with the drawing rather than carrying a placeholder nobody goes back to update.
Status on a new sketch is left blank rather than As-Built. A drawing somebody has just started is not an as-built, and a status that arrives pre-filled is one nobody ever sets on purpose - which is how a sketch still in progress ends up in a turnover package presenting itself as the finished record.
A bill of materials that counts joints rather than flanges. A gasket goes between two faces, so two flanges bolted face to face are one joint and not two, and a flanged valve with mating flanges drawn is still two joints and not four. Gaskets and stud bolts are counted that way or not at all - a bolt list that is quietly wrong is worse than no bolt list. End connection is part of the part: a socket-weld elbow rolls up separately from a butt-weld one, because they are separate things to order and merging them is how a take-off goes out short.
A valve list, a support schedule and a spool list, all read off the drawing. Valves are tagged as they are placed and numbered per type, because tagging afterwards means hunting the ones that were missed. Supports carry the mark, the type, the distance along the run and the pipe centerline elevation - set the plant elevation at model zero in Setup and every elevation the app reports is an elevation rather than an offset from wherever the first click landed. Spools are numbered from the field welds that make them, so re-cutting the breakdown renumbers them instead of leaving typed numbers wrong with nothing to notice.
A revision block, revision clouds and triangles, general notes and a symbol legend. The title block reads its rev from the latest row of the revision history instead of carrying its own, so a sheet cannot show two different revs at once and flag neither. Notes are numbered by the drawing at print time, so inserting one does not leave every "see note 3" on the job pointing at something else. The legend lists only the symbols this sheet actually uses, drawn by the same code that drew them, so the chart and the drawing cannot drift apart.
A highlighter, on redlined drawings and on sketches. Five colours, drawn under every other mark, for showing the lines that are in a hydrotest pack - it colours the drawing without hiding it, and the pen marks and tags still read through.
Flange tags on drawings, and a flange legend on the printed iso sheet. A green hexagon placed the way a weld tag is: pick the tool, click the flange, choose it from the flange map. The tag points at the map row rather than copying it, so bolting up and recording a torque does not leave the drawing stale. A hexagon because on a photocopy or a fax the green, the red and the blue all come out the same grey, and the shape is what still tells them apart.
The flange legend prints what a signature actually rests on - flange number, size and class, gasket, bolting, torque range, and whether it is recorded as torqued. Two exceptions are called out separately, because they are different failures: a tag with no row behind it in the flange map has no gasket, bolting or torque anywhere, and a tag that resolves but is not marked torqued is an open joint on a document somebody is about to sign. Blank prints as NOT RECORDED rather than a dash - "No" is a decision, blank is nobody having looked.
A Tagged On column in the weld and flange exports, listing the drawings and pages each one was actually bubbled on, beside the drawing it is meant to be on. Those two are read together: one is where it should be, the other is where it has been marked. On the weld map, where nothing links a bubble to a joint number but the number itself, it matches on that alone and reports "(not tagged)" rather than guessing.
Password reset. There was no way back into an account for somebody who had forgotten their password - not broken, absent. The confirmation says "if that address has an account" whether or not one matched, so it cannot be used to find out who has an account here one guess at a time. New signups now confirm by email as well.
Thirteen authentication and security emails written for this product, replacing the stock ones: the six that sign you in or change your address, and seven notifications for things like a password or an email being changed, which were not enabled at all before. They come from notifications@ rather than a no-reply address, because somebody told their password just changed who did not change it will reply to that message, and a no-reply answers a security report with a bounce. None of the notifications carries a button - a message reporting something that already happened does not need one, and one that has a button teaches people to press the button in the phishing copy.
The eight actions under your name in the sidebar are now one menu. Help, Support, Enterprise Console, AI Credits, Export Folder, All Projects and Log Out were stacked in the bottom corner, taking a third of the sidebar's height and pushing the tab list into a scrollbar of its own on a laptop screen. They are the same actions, now behind the account pill. Closed, the pill still carries the support count and warns when the AI credit balance is zero - a balance is not an alert, but an empty one is the difference between a button working and refusing.
A callout on a redlined drawing is now the same bubble the sketch draws. The old box fitted about twelve characters before the text ran over its border; the number now sizes itself, the leader starts at the circle edge, and the delete control is a real control rather than a rectangle worked out by arithmetic. The bubbles print as vector over the page instead of being resampled along with the scan. Every existing markup keeps its position - only the shape changes.
The box and arrow colour pickers are gone from redlining. The colour means something now - red for a weld, blue for a heat, green for a flange - so it is not the user's to pick, and a label under the bubble says which on a mono print where all three come out grey.
Faint text and small amber text are readable now. Section headings, field labels, table headers and menu headings sat between 2.6:1 and 3.3:1 against their panels, where small text needs 4.5:1. Measured on the running page in both the dark and light themes rather than eyeballed. The amber on buttons, borders and the big figures is unchanged.
